Dear Lior,
I regret not writing about our first move into our little condo in Pioneer. But I'll give a small gist here. Early 2021 just before school went back face-to-face, I decided to move out of our Paranaque house to a condo nearer your school. I wanted to say goodbye to you less often. It was a 10-15 minute walk away from your Papa, and about 20 min away from school. It was such a milestone for both of us as Paranaque has been our comfort zone. We've stayed with family since you were born. But it has been an amazing, life-changing experience since.
We've filled the fridge door with your art and with our photos together. We've helped each other clean the unit. And you've had the chance to create your own little barkada within the community.
Do you remember your 4PM routine? You usually look out the windows, checking if your friends are already there—the moment you hear kids laughing, it is your cue to take a bath. You usually bring one or two toys with you to share. For the first few months, I went down the playground area with you. But you've been insistent that you're a big boy already. So I let you do it alone but only if you recite to me "The Rules" (Wear your ID with emergency whistle, never remove your airtag, and never ever go inside someone else's unit)
You're growing into such a lovely, independent boy. I think it was also the start of Mama considering us moving into a bigger unit. Gradually, you've been asking for your own room already. And since I work from home most of the time, I wanted a little bit more space for myself.
The search took long. There were so many considerations. But good thing I've found one I know you'll like. I guess I just want to let you know again that I love the life we're building together.
