Dear Lior,
Money will only go so far. It is true but it makes living life a whole lot bearable.
Before having you, I've had selfish dreams and wishes. I wanted to be rich for myself because I thought that having money and fame are products of a successful career. And it is. But things are different now. It's not wanting to be successful anymore, it became a necessity for me because I want to give you everything you've ever wanted and so much more than that. I cringe to the thought that you're going to be held back to anything you love because of money related issues. Money is just money.
Your papa and I have long since promised to each other to never even let money become an issue to the both of us. You know how pathetic it is to fight over money. The worst thing you could let people on a bill do to you is lose your integrity. It might be a million or hundreds or thousands or just a peso. There is no right amount for anyone to buy you your disposition and integrity in life. If you ever become that kind of person then I must say that I have failed being a mother to you.
There is always a point in life where you realize the value of money. My moment was when I became a mom. It is even more difficult for me to become an effective parent because I have no salary yet. And having a child (apart from exhausting) is expensive. You have to pay for clothes, for bottles, for formula, for gears. I am just so happy that you are blessed with people that are so generous. It melts my heart to know that regardless of how broke your parents are, you have the best bottles, the best milk, the best diapers, complete gears and the best clothes. I actually get really emotional when I remember your christening because it was a lovely event. It was held in a hotel penthouse served with amazing cuisine. The gifts you had were great and expensive. I hate to brag but I just want you to know and appreciate that you are surrounded with amazing and very generous people.
Lior, I will devote the rest of my life giving you things that you deserve. We will have trips to Disneyland and toy shopping. I promise you that my love. You are my forever. Your papa and I are desperately trying to be able to provide you everything. Literally everything.
After everything is said and done, my one wish is for you to never hate us because we're going to be really busy. Always know that whatever we do is for you. Nothing but you.
