There is a universal suffering that's affecting everyone. It's tough to fight it because of its invisibility; only making itself apparent through contagious symptoms like cough and colds.
It's called Corona Virus Diseas - 2019 or COVID19.
It's highly contagious and deadly that's why the government has decided to put the entire Luzon/NCR in a community lockdown to contain the virus. And no one dares go outside because of fear. We only make short food runs to the grocery then immediately santizes after. I am so terrified of it, Lior. If not for me, for the people around me. It says that the virus targets older people and once you hit the ten-day mark, it usually foretells what's going to happen.
In this pandemic, the soldiers we have are the frontliners - our doctors, nurses, janitors, cashiers, delivery truck drivers. They are the ones who are facing the virus head on and right now, they're not given enough protective equipment on them. It's like we're sending them to war without guns. It's a little frustrating, especially to feel so irrelevant.
But like always, you are my light.
You make everything a whole lot brighter.
Here are some photos of us while on lockdown.
I cut your hair because the weather is too hot to have long bangs.
(To be honest, I really just like it better when you're sporting your cute bangs!)
Love-love cuddle time with Mama. (Always and before bed!)
Played a bit of Monopoly.
Funny story: it was just us two playing but you really wanted me to win so you gave me 500 monopoly money just because. Hahaha. Your generosity is absolutely heart-warming.
You have these "episodes" like the ones from a sitcom.
But you call them "playing live action" --
you just play on your own and pretend you're on a stage.
Everyone claps when you're done.
"Order of The Empire" episode is my favourite. :-)
We didn't really open most of your 7th birthday gifts because I wanted to save them for another day. Since you're a bit bored with much of your toys, I let you open this Pokemon Card Set.
Needless to say, Pokemon is still a running as a favourite cartoon.
(Look at that Pikachu shirt!)
Lastly, we did this "helmet" that you liked so much!
It's made out of an old Zest-O cardboard box we taped and colored.
You wear it all the time and even made sure it's well-kept before going to bed.
Hay, Lior.
Just thinking of you makes me really really happy. I'm so happy I have you, and like I always say I wish I had twenty more of you so that we'll all have fun playing and making crafts together!
Doesn't mean that you're not enough, it's just that I could do more with a hundred million of Lior!
You will always always be enough for me, my little light.
Thank you for the privilege fo being your mom.
I love you most.
Always, Mama
